This unit was compared to a routine manual unit in a physician’s office. The Omron unit consistently recorded the systolic BP about 40 mm BELOW actual level and recorded diastolic BP about 15 mm below the actual level.
I would not recommend this unit and will not purchase again.

This product works well on my left arm and gives more consistent readings than what I was using before. But when I try to tke a reading on my right arm it almost always fails; it starts to inflate and then stops and displays “E” on the screen. I try tightening the cuff and again it fails. On average it tekes me at least 4 attempts to get a reading, and sometimes I just give up. My old one gave erratic readings, but at least I could get a reading.

I like the ease of use with the EastShore Automatic Digital Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor. I have not yet had a chance to compare the accuracy with another monitor, however I know that about half the time I get a false ‘high’ reading. I am an EMT monitoring my own blood pressure and some of the false high readings are pretty scarey - until you realize they are false! Even without repositioning the monitor, re-taking another reading is much more accurate. I do recommend this type of monitor for anyone that needs to keep an eye on their BP, especially those who may live alone or be elderly - you can’t get much easier than this, just be aware of the false readings and re-test.

Omron HEM-712C blood pressure monitor is easy to use and results pretty accurate. My uncle is very happy with this one so I ordered one for my another uncle. They both are quite satisfied with this.

Excellent monitor, marred by the bizarre lack of an AC adapter. This monitor is easy to use. The cuff fits nicely over the arm, inflates smoothly, and the readings quick enough to appear. The monitor is small and light. The inflatable cuff attaches snugly and completely into the monitor, and based on my experience with another Omron monitor that I have had for 9 years, it should continue to fit into the monitor. It does the job.

However, what really ruins an otherwise excellent product is that Omron does not ship an AC adapter with it! Amazing, but for some bizarre, unexplained reason, this is the only one in the Omron blood pressure monitor series that does not ship with an adapter (as of writing this review). The HEM-432C ($29.70), HEM-711DLX ($58.23), HEM-780 ($58.99), and the HEM-790IT ($72.25) all come with an adapter as standard. Except this one ($45). So, you either go out and buy some third-party adapter and risk voiding the warranty on the bp monitor, or buy an Omron sold adapter - Amazon sells one for $40 - 120 VAC Power Supply for Most Omron Arm BP Monitors, or use rechargeable batteries, which entail a separate purchase of batteries and a charger.

The OMRON HEM-712C Auto Blood Pressure monitor with IntelliSense is a great tool for home use. I am an RN & used to have the old style wrap around pump-up type for use with a stethescope. My husband needs BP monitoring at home & this set is easy to use, pumps up automatically,requires NO stethescope, gives accurate readings, has memory for recording & a lay person can do it for themselves. The price is highly affordable, & home-monitoring gives a better “read” of true BP than A DR’s Office or public monitoring station. Finding it on Amazon & ordering it from there was very easy & convenient, also.
